I wanted to start this blog post before Covid occurred. My arguments why we are losing a whole generation is because we are facing the following challenges:

This document is a call for request of a new worldwide platform to capture activities.
We live in a world of competition. Kids and pupils are trained to solve problems alone, to fight against each other and to become better than others. The whole economy is based on competition and working against each other as a fundamental principle. Of course there is some collaboration, but it seems still to be a sign of weakness.
Over the last years we have seen many examples of great collaboration on a large scale. One of the best examples is Wikipedia…
The other day I played a gig with Werner / keys and Peter /drums together with Christian / sax. I played with Werner and Peter several times before with my double bass and I also played with other bands and also in classical orchestras (you will find all my activities in German on my personal website). But it was new to play with Christian / sax together. We never met before, we did not had any rehearsal together. We just had some scribbles with notes and accord notifications. And then we just start making music for our customers, the audience…
because it is IN, everybody talks — regardless if they understand innovation or not.
most of the people are saying NO to themselves, because they do not want to leave their comfort zone, so they are also finding many arguments against innovation.
politicians want to support innovations because they are looking forward to see new companies paying taxes.
does it mean “In other news” or is it an atom or molecule or does it mean “I” and “ON” — who knows?
Who understand innovation really?
I am working both with several startups and with large cooperates in parallel in virtual environments using many tools to getting things done.
A number of tools — e.g. Microsoft Teams, Google Hangout, Slack Facebook for Work, Trello, Asana, and many others — have invaded the workplace promising to make work “easier”, an operational goal that is also a top strategic objective for organisations regardless their sizes.
Yet, the most simple actions, such as scheduling a meeting with employees and business partners including sharing some information before the meeting and keeping track of everything, are slowed down by chaotic series…
You are facing new challenges on innovation, digitization and disruption.
You know you can’t ignore the dramatic changes coming in the next months.
You can play the walking and talking dead.
I worked with startups for more than 10 years, incorporated companies in Europe and in Silicon Valley.
I worked with corporates since my first job in 1986: as employee, as manager, as consultant, as trainer.
I know both worlds and can bridge them.
Receive a concept from outside in, without meetings or discussions, without frames or constraints. I study what I see on your…
I was CIO of a corporate — responsible of ICT and e-business — as they call it — 13 years ago. worldwide active. 17.000 employees. 5 divisions. 20+ managers at top positions.
So, I understand corporates.
Now I am working for and with startup s— a complete different experience.
So, I understand startups.
What I thought all the time is that corporates and startups could benefit from each another.
But that is not the case. And I know why.
Corporates are f**king startups. All the time.
There is no reason why they should NOT do it.
They have nothing to…
